Problem

Access to technology is increasingly essential to success in today's world. Unfortunately, many nonprofit organizations are being left behind in the digital age, hindering the positive effect they have in the communities they serve.

Response

In response to this need, the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), along with United Way of Metropolitan Chicago (UWMC), and IBM initiated the Teaming for Technology project in April of 1997.

Our Mission

Teaming for Technology seeks to better the community of Chicago by providing new and innovative ways for technology to enhance the services of Chicago's nonprofit community, offering free technology consulting, software training classes, and low-cost office and network solutions.
